About Chris Sheldon
After graduating from the University of Reading with a degree in Electronic Engineering & Cybernetics, Chris Sheldon decided to go into the IT industry as a Software Developer.
Already familiar with programming languages such as C++ and Visual Basic. He decided that he wanted to be a Web Developer and started working with Classic ASP before transitioning to ASP.NET.
Fond of both Frontend and Backend development and moving on to architecting complete systems, Chris decided to become a consultant after 4 years working for other companies. Here Chris further honed his technical skills after working with a breadth of clients ranging from Startups, Digital Agencies to FTSE companies.
After feeling like he had a good technical understanding, Chris became interested in process. He was a Scrum Master, Development Manager, Head of Department and looked after an entire technical estate of 100s of websites and corporate systems.
With extensive experience working with offshore teams, Chris went to work for DataArt where he continues his career as a Product Owner for a global retailer.
He currently looks after an entirely bespoke range of Java applications which are critical to keeping the organisation operational.
Chris lives in the UK with his wife Nicola and his children; Harrison, Thomas, Fox and Lena.
He also begrudgingly has a dog and a cat; Percy and Fudge.
